Engineered Data Products was primarily a supplier of specialty
technical furniture to a very small niche within the computer equipment market.
In addition, it had
a few other small operations that lacked strategic direction. Howard Industries purchase EDP in the
late nineties and due to its reliance on the tech
industry took the ride down with the industry in 2001.
EDP successfully survived that industry shakeout by reenergizing its creative and development roots
and has focused its efforts on introducing new innovative products into selective markets that are
underserved within the industry. With strong design and engineering, EDP is bringing solutions to its
customers and is growing its own as well as its dealers' businesses. EDP has recently purchased
a group that focuses on the trading and financial furniture markets further expanding its design
and product development capabilities. |
