Peter Howard,
formed Howard Industries to capitalize on his experience in strategic planning and private
investments. As the investment industry matured into large funds with multiple portfolio companies.
Peter recognized the need for a more personal and value added partnership: one that assists
privately held businesses gain liquidity for their owners while providing continuing access
to capital for growth. His philosophy is the driving force behind Howard Industries' approach
that provides a strong foundation for selected companies, their owners, management, and
employees.
Peter's background in strategic planning and implementation has included: new product development,
marketing and sales, research and development, and finance. He has worked successfully with
numerous businesses, introducing new products and expanding markets. The end result has enabled
companies to adjust quickly to changes in the market place, preempt potential competitive losses and
instead gain market share.
Peter has invested as a principal in a wide range of industries, including: steel processing,
textiles, tubing, and electrical components. He has worked closely with the management of each of
these companies to build value and develop and implement strategies for long-term growth.
Peter received his undergraduate degree from Principia College and his M.B.A. from Columbia
University. His professional experience includes strategic consulting with Arthur Young &
Company, where he provided planning and acquisition advice to major corporations and investment
institutions. Prior to forming Howard Industries, he was a principal with a private investment
firm and continues to serve as an active director in all his investments.
